CoL

CoL is an exploration and building game that’s been openly inspired by the famous block game Minecraft. With this game you get to create your own virtual worlds, brick by brick, and even share them with other players online.

CoL includes two game modes: creative and survival. The creative mode gives you unlimited resources and you only have to worry about building (like in the original Minecraft). The survival mode, however, presents more of a challenge: to get raw materials and the necessary resources to survive a hostile world that’s full of danger. Although the creative mode is a little more limited than the original Minecraft, you do have pretty advanced architectural elements such as Greek-style capitals, columns, rugs, and a long etc.

Visually, CoL is basically identical to Minecraft. Using a visual style that’s centered around blocks, it has tons of charisma (despite its low-resolution textures). Also, the world is filled with animals that you can easily become friends with.

CoL is an excellent free Minecraft clone that offers basically all the features that the original game does, but without having to pay for them.
